ShortBooks is being refocused around controlled creative use for minors, families, classrooms, and organizations. Public exposure should be optional, intentional, and disabled unless an administrator enables it.
Visibility controls
Work can be limited to private, family, classroom, school, or public visibility depending on enabled flags and organization settings.
Adult review
Parents, guardians, teachers, and organization reviewers should approve student or child work before it is shared beyond the creator.
No public child profile by default
The current rollout should avoid public child profiles, open social feeds, algorithmic discovery, and uncontrolled public comments.
Content moderation
Existing moderation, rating, legal, and audit structures are preserved so the product can mature toward larger organization requirements.
Data controls
Schools and parents will need clear deletion, review, consent, and privacy processes before larger institutional sales.
AI transparency
AI should be presented as assistance for brainstorming, structure, images, narration, or revision—not as a replacement for the child’s imagination.
